Police have released images in an appeal for information following an aggravated carjacking in Sydney’s CBD last year.

About 2am on Tuesday 17 September 2024, police were called to the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Park Street, Sydney, following reports of a carjacking.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and were told a 30-year-old male delivery rider was pushed off the scooter he was riding by two passengers in a silver Honda Jazz that had stopped behind the scooter.

One of the men returned to the vehicle where the male driver was waiting and drove a short distance away before making a U-turn back towards the scooter.

The other man then drove the scooter from the scene.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police have released images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
