Appeal to locate missing teenager - Cumberland PAC

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing teenage boy from Sydney’s south-west.

Yaylen Parkes, aged 14, was last seen at Girraween, about 12pm yesterday (Friday 7 June 2024).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified today (Saturday 8 June 2024) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Due to his age, there are serious concerns for his’s welfare.

Yaylen is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 160cm, medium build, brown eyes and short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey shorts and black shoes.

Yaylen is known to frequent the Cumberland, Leichhardt and Inner West areas.

Inquiries have established that he maybe in the Balmain area.
