Bones located at construction site undergoing forensic examination - Cromer

Bones located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches yesterday have been sent for forensic examination.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended a construction site on South Creek Road at Cromer about 10.45am (Wednesday 19 June 2024) after the bones were located during excavation work.

They have since been sent to a forensic pathologist for examination to determine if they are human or animal.

While that process is continuing, we ask that media refrain from speculating on links to ongoing investigations out of respect for families involved.
