Appeal for information after shots fired at home - Cabramatta

Police have commenced an investigation after a home was shot at in Sydney’s south west.


About 11:45pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 June 2024), police were called to a home on Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta, following reports of shots fired.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and were told a white Toyota Corolla had mounted the footpath and multiple shots were fired at a home, before the car fled the scene.

Five adults and four children who were inside the property at the time weren’t injured in the incident.

Officers have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

A short time later, emergency services were called to Hamel Road, Mount Pritchard, following reports of a car fire.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW.

There were no reports of injuries.

Following investigations, police have identified the damaged vehicle is the same car from the earlier incident.

Police have established a crime scene and the vehicle is currently undergoing forensic examination.
