Further charge under Strike Force Dribs

Thirty-five people have now been charged following an extensive investigation into a riot outside a church in Sydney’s southwest in April this year.

Strike Force Dribs was established to investigate the large-scale public order incident which occurred in Wakeley on Monday 15 April 2024.

About 7am today (Wednesday 26 June 2024), officers attached to Strike Force Dribs accompanied officers from the the North West Metropolitan Operational Support Group to a unit complex on Grose Street, Parramatta.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with riot, cause GBH to police - public disorder reckless as to ABH and throw missile at law enforcement officer-public disorder.

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 27 June 2024).
