Man charged over alleged break and enters - Port Stephens

A man will face court today charged over alleged property offences following an investigation by officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District.

Earlier this year, detectives Strike Force Weemala following a series of alleged break and enter offences in the area they believed were linked.

Following extensive inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Ridgeway Close, Karuah, about 9am yesterday (Tuesday 2 July 2024).

During the search, police allegedly located and seized several items believed to have been stolen including tools and vehicle parts.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company intend steal, and receive motor vehicle part-theft.

He was refused bail to appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court today (Wednesday 3 July 2024).
