Police appealing for dashcam footage following armed robbery - Griffith

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the State’s South,

About 1.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 July 2024), police were called to Noorla Street, Griffith following reports of an armed robbery.

A 33-year-old male was seated in his car parked in a driveway, when he was approached by another male who threatened him with a knife, before demanding his keys.

The man handed over his keys, before the man drove off.

Detectives attached to Murrumbidgee Police District responded and commenced an investigation.

The car is described as a white Toyota Hilux dual cab, with NSW registration plates EIC02K.The man was wearing a black hooded jumper at the time. A short time later the vehicle was located on fire in Lakes Road, Lake Wyangan.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, that may have been travelling along Lakes Road, Lake Wyangan or surrounding roads in the North Griffith, or Tharbogang areas between 1:00pm and 3:30pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 July 2024), to come forward.
