Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives charge a further three over alleged supermarket break-ins

An additional three men are due in court today charged by Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives over the alleged break-ins of multiple Sydney supermarkets.
Detectives attached to State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Trevanna to investigate 15 allegedly-organised break and enters across the Sydney region between April and July 2024 targeting supermarkets.
Two days ago, detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – executed search warrants on three homes in Westmead and Eastwood, with three men, aged 39, 41 and 44, charged.
Police initiated inquiries after a supermarket in Marsfield was broken into about 3.30am yesterday (Saturday 13 July 2024). A short time later, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command stopped a SUV on the M2 at North Rocks and arrested three men.
Police will allege in court when the vehicle was searched, items from the Marsfield break-in were recovered, as well as items from an earlier break-in at North Turramurra last week.
The men were taken to Gladesville Police Station where they were charged by Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives, with assistance from Ryde and Kuring-Gai PAC detectives. The SUV has been seized for examination.
Two men, aged 34 and 37, have been charged with 11 counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence relating to alleged break-ins between 14 June 2024 and 13 July 2024.
A 27-year-old man has been charged with seven counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence relating to alleged break-ins between 14 June 2024 and 13 July 2024.
All three have been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 14 July 2024).
