Image of vehicle released as police conduct search for missing man - Strike Force Wellbank

An image of a vehicle has been released as police prepare to conduct a land search for a man missing from the state’s north.
Leslie Keating, aged 63, was last seen at a property on Ramornie Station Road, Ramornie, about 25km north-west of Grafton, about 2.30pm on Friday 20 October 2023.
Unable to be located or contacted since, Leslie was reported missing to officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District on Sunday 12 November 2023, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Strike Force Wellbank was later established to investigate the circumstances of his disappearance.
Investigators have conducted multiple co-ordinated land searches on and around the Ramornie property with the assistance of SES; however, have not located Leslie or information relating to his disappearance.
Serious concerns are held for Leslie's welfare.
Leslie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 160-170cm tall, of thin build, with “scruffy” brown hair, brown eyes, and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a dark blue flannelette, with camouflage pyjama trousers and black boots.
In addition to multiple areas that have already been searched by police, commencing about 8:00am today (Saturday 14 December 2024) – and wilth assistance from the SES - a further search of the Gwydir Highway, Ramornie between Grafton and Glen Innes will be conducted.
A line of inquiry is that Leslie may have been struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a grey 2010’s model Toyota Kluger with no registration plates and has extensive damage to the front passenger side.
The Toyota was last seen in mid November 2023 on a fire trail in Ramornie.
Detectives have released an image of this vehicle and are urging anyone who may have knowledge of the vehicle - or as to Leslie’s whereabouts – to contact Grafton Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
