Search underway to find missing teenage boy from Emerald Beach

A multi-agency search is underway to locate a teenage boy missing on the Mid North Coast.

Jacob Partridge, aged 17, was last seen by friends about 11pm Friday (6 December 2024), near Emerald Beach, 20km north of Coffs Harbour.

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified yesterday (Saturday 7 December 2024), and an investigation commenced into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour is considered out of character.

Jacob is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with long brown hair.

Jacob is known to frequent the Emerald Beach area.

A multi-agency coordinated land and sea search began yesterday, and resumed today at 8am today.

The search has involved local police, assisted by Marine Area Command, Police Rescue, PolAir, Dog Unit, NSW SES and Marine Rescue.
