This permit will authorise a security guard to retain possession of a pistol registered to their current employer while off duty. The applicant must be the holder of a current category H firearms licence for the genuine reason of Business Employment - security guard. Clause 85 and Clause 86 - Firearms Regulation 2017 relates.

The application and legitimate reason forms are interactive. You must complete both forms, then print and return both forms with any requested documentation to the Firearms Registry, Locked Bag 5102, Parramatta NSW 2124.
